recently this weekend Iran disclosed a underground uranium enrichment plant . Our govternment stated it is both Illegal and could most likely developed for warfare. The big question is: Why would they hide it underground? Hilary Clinton stated, ""It would have been disclosed if it were for peaceful purposes,". What should- we do?
Thus far I think the US is going about it the say i should be done. They've givin Iran a week to let inspectors in to servey this plant. If they do not comply to this I think there will be a repeat of our original war. I think the only thing to do would be to invade this site, or bomb it or something. If they can't prove it peaceful why should be let them continue to develop weapons that could potentually harm us.

I disagree with you in this sitution, i think we should let them be and not automatically think that they are up to no good. For example, what if iran came over to our country and was like, hey you guys need to get rid of Diablo Canyon because who knows what you guys are doing there with the nuclear waste? Make Sense?
ReplyDeleteI don't get why everyone is so thrilled with the way Obama is handling this issue and how pleased the U.N. is even though this is exactly the same way Bush started to review Iraq's WMD capabilities.
ReplyDeletek i agree with justin but i see where erica is coming from. but i dont think they should bomb it or something. im not sure how they should somehow get into it and shut it down in some way. if something bad can come out of this situation and hurt people why let it just evolve into something more. like why would you give a baby a penny??? it could dieee. just dont even let it be in issue and get rid of it, dont give the baby the penny in the first place, so they should just invade and make sure no warfare there will ever happen.
ReplyDeleteClay I totally get you. Thus far Obama has really been kissing up, but if he follows up with what he says he is going to do for once mybe it could do some good. Ha yes, it does appear that is just about the same as Bush in the beginning. i guess time will tell.

our country has come forward and shown why we have nuclear energy. When a country is trying to hide its nuclear it just seems shady.
I think we should get inspectors to go in first before we do anything rash because if we invade without having substantial evidence proving Iran has the weapons, then it will end up like the war in Iraq.
ReplyDeletei think that jumping into a fight right away is a little extreme but if they do not comply we should defiantly put a form of pressure on them such as a trade ban or cutting of their supply of natural gas (which they import heavily)
